Effective Date: April 8 – 2025
1. Who We Are
Welcome to Word Philosophy. We’re a minimalist, word-focused platform dedicated to thought, language, and curiosity. We collect only what we need, never more. We don’t sell your data. We don’t spy. We don’t care what shoes you bought last week.
2. What We Collect (and Why)
We may collect:
- Basic site analytics (via privacy-respecting tools) to understand how the site is used
- Contact info (only if you choose to contact us or subscribe, optional, not creepy)
- Cookies (bare minimum: just enough to make the site function. No cookie buffet.)
We do not collect:
- Biometric data
- Facial recognition
- Your childhood pet’s name
- That one text you regret sending in 2016
3. GDPR Stuff (Yes, Hello Europe
)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights:
- Access your data
- Correct your data
- Delete your data
- Yell at us if we’re being weird (we won’t be)
You can exercise these rights by contacting us at: Chris@WhatifPhilosophy.com
We will not ghost you. We’re legally and ethically obligated not to.
4. COPPA Compliance (U.S. Children’s Privacy Act)
This site is not directed at children under 13.
We don’t knowingly collect data from children, because we’re not trying to traumatize anyone with a deep dive into Derrida.
If you’re under 13, this probably isn’t your vibe.
Go read a comic. Come back in a few years.
5. Third-Party Stuff
We don’t embed ad networks, sell user info, or integrate with shady data vampires.
If we ever use third-party tools (like fonts or light analytics), we pick the ones that respect your privacy like it’s sacred. Because it is.
6. Security
We use reasonable security practices. No, we’re not a fortress—but your data isn’t sitting on a USB drive in a parking lot either.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time.
When we do, we’ll update the date at the top and probably sigh softly.
